Modular educational program "Processing of mineral and technogenic raw materials" was developed in accordance with the SCES HE, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan under date of August 23, 2012 № 1080 with amendments and additions from 13.05.2016, № 292, model curriculum of the specialty 5B072000 – “Chemical technology of inorganic substances” approved by order №425 of MES of the RK under date of July 5, 2016 and professional standard  "Apparatus operator for production of nitrogen products" approved by the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan under date of April 30, 2014 № 450 after № 9380.

1.1 Goals of the study program «Processing of mineral and technogenic raw materials»

The goals of the study program (SP) correspond to the 6-th level of the National framework of qualifications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, harmonized with the Dublin Descriptors, with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning.

Mission of M. Auezov SKSU - Formation of the modern scientific-educational environment in which the training of highly-qualified personnel is implemented on the principles of close integration of science, education and innovations.

G1. Training of specialists of  a new formation skilled with deep fundamental knowledge; specialists who are  initiative, adjusted to the changing demands of labor and technology market.

To have knowledge of the philosophical and scientific pictures of the world, the laws of development of nature and society, the forms of human consciousness and the peculiarities of its manifestation in modern society, on the relations of the spiritual and material values, their role in activities of human and society.

To have knowledge of main legal documents regulating the sphere of professional activity relating to the functioning of the chemical industry and its branches.

To have skills on modern methods of collection, storage and processing of the information, basics of information technologies.

G2. Training of specialists skilled with highly advanced technologies of  inorganic substances and materials synthesis and with fundamental knowledge of natural and mathematical sciences

To have fundamental knowledge of the main natural and mathematical sciences for practical applications, aimed at the development of technology for the processing of mineral and technogenic raw material.

To use the information to solve the problem of inorganic substances in chemical technology.

To have general skills in the context of chemistry which are applicable to other sectors of production of inorganic substances and materials.

G3. Training of specialists who are able to  use their theoretical knowledge in practice, to assess and to analyze the current state of the processing technology  of mineral raw materials and industrial waste to produce inorganic acids, salts and fertilizers, to identify and formulate problems

To be able to describe the theoretical regularities of physical-chemical processes of processing of mineral raw materials and technogenic waste to produce inorganic compounds.

Properly carry out experiments to study the thermodynamic and kinetic regularities of the processes and interpret the results.

Critically assess the present state of the problems of manufacturing of inorganic acids, mineral fertilizers and salts, the technological process control, expendable coefficients by raw materials, auxiliary materials, fuel and electricity

To have the ability to evaluate and rethink the experience, analyze the professional and social activities

To summarize the theory and technology of the halurgical processes.

To use acquired fundamental knowledge to determine the factors influencing the technological processes.

To calculate technological and geometrical parameters of the main and auxiliary equipment, to constitute the basic models of processes occurring in multicomponent systems, to know the requirements for the safe production of inorganic substances and materials and to have the skills to use measuring equipment.

    1.  Key competencies of graduates of the study program:

A graduate of SP «Processing of mineral and technogenic raw materials» is awarded the degree of «Bachelor of engineering and technologies» in specialty 5В072000 - Chemical technology of inorganic substances.

Bachelor of engineering and technologies in specialty 5В072000 - Chemical technology of inorganic substances should possess the following key competences in the field:

1. of native language (Kazakh / Russian)

is able to express and understand thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the field of processing mineral and technogenic raw materials in written and oral form (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and to interact in linguistically appropriate way and creatively in a variety of societal and cultural contexts: during studying and working.

2. of foreign languages

has basic communication skills in the English language: able to understand, express and interpret concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the field of chemical technology of inorganic substances and processing of technogenic waste, as well as in written form (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in the corresponding number of social and cultural contexts (in education and training, at work, home and leisure). Has the skills of mediation and intercultural understanding.

3. of fundamental mathematical, natural scientific and technical training

is able to use the basic laws of natural-scientific disciplines in professional activities, to apply methods of mathematical analysis and modeling (logic and spatial thinking), theoretical and experimental research (formulas, models, charts, graphs, tables) in their professional activities;

is able to use the basics of knowledge and methodology explaining the world in order to identify problem issues and the formulation of conclusions based on evidences, to apply their knowledge and methodology for solving professional tasks.

4. of computer training

is able to understand the trend of informatics progressing in the field of development and design of technologies of processing of mineral raw materials and technogenic waste;

is able to confidently and critically use modern information technologies for work, leisure and communication, have computer skills to use for the recovery, evaluation, storage, sharing and presenting information, to communicate and participate in collaborative networks via the Internet in the field of professional activity;

5. of academic training

has basic knowledge of technical disciplines (science), promoting formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking;

understand the organizational and pedagogical conditions for personal growth, corrects self-development;

understands need for continuous learning, can find the available options, is able strive to continue learning, to organize their own learning, including effectively managing time and information, both individually and in groups, to strive for professional and personal growth;

has the skills to acquire new knowledge necessary for daily professional activity and continuing education in the magistracy.

6. of social training (interpersonal, intercultural, civic competence)

has all the forms of behavior that allow him to effectively and constructively participate in social and labor life, particularly in increasingly diverse societies, and if necessary, to resolve conflicts, let him in its entirety to participate in civic life, based on knowledge of social and political concepts and structures and a willingness to take an active and democratic participation;

has the ability to live in a collective, family, society, the world, is able to cultivate acceptance and understanding of the other person attitude to him as to a value;

developed sense of understanding of the interdependence in the world, developed communication, the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts, is able to find compromises, to relate his views to the collective opinion and to work in collective, solve analytical questions and problems, learn new knowledge, to evaluate and analyze the various social trends, facts and the phenomenon of social trends, facts and phenomena using the terms and categories of philosophy;

 has the basics of economic knowledge, has the scientific understanding of the management, marketing, finance, etc.; knows and understands the objectives and methods of state regulation of the economy, the role of the state sector in the economy;

is able to work with people, has the knowledge in the field of interaction with customers, of human resources management, of customer interaction, of work with permissive and the competent authorities, with representatives of the government, knows the basics of the legal system and legislation of Kazakhstan, the trends of social development of society;

8. cultural training

knows the traditions and culture of nations of Kazakhstan,

understands the importance of the creative expression of ideas, experiences and emotions through various means;

is tolerant to the traditions and culture of other nations of the world, understands and realizes the installation of tolerant behavior, racism, xenophobia, extremism prevention  and countering them; formed as a tolerant person, recognizes, adopts and understands other cultures;

has the ability to acquire knowledge; tolerant, easy to communicate in the intellectual sphere, is not affected by prejudices, including the chauvinistic nature; has a high spiritual qualities, is formed as an intelligent person.

SC3 Has knowledge about methods of enrichment of natural raw materials and processing of technogenic chemical waste;

SC4 Is able to solve production problems on manufacture of mineral acids, salts and fertilizers using technogenic waste and carry out environmental monitoring of technologies.

SC5 Performs competently setting of research goals in the field of processing mineral and technogenic raw material;

SC6 Is able to describe regularities of chemical-technological processes of manufacturing inorganic compounds;

SC7 Is able to evaluate critically the current state of the problems of manufacture of inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, mineral fertilizers, plant-protecting agents and household chemical products;

SC8 Has general skills of conducting the technological processes of obtaining inorganic compounds in laboratory conditions, determination of the process indicators and quality of obtained products;

SC9 Has fundamental knowledge on basic natural and mathematical sciences for theoretical analysis, aimed at the development of technology of processing mineral and technogenic raw materials to produce mineral acids, salts and fertilizers;

SC10 Conducts experiments competently on the study of thermodynamic and kinetic regularities of the processes and interprets the obtained results;

SC11 Is able to investigate multicomponent systems of processes, to carry out experimental studies and physical-chemical analysis of the process;

SC12 Has the ability of industrial water preparation and is able to solve ecological problems of inorganic manufactures;

SC13 Is able to perform professionally the functions of an equipment operator of technological process of manufacturing phosphorus, phosphoric acid and phosphorus compounds;

SC14 Is able to perform professionally functions of an equipment operator of the technological process of ammonia and nitric acid manufacture;

SC15 Is able to perform professionally functions of an equipment operator of the technological process of sulfuric acid and mineral fertilizer manufacture;

SC16 Is able to perform professionally functions of an equipment operator of the technological process mineral salts, caustic ash and chlor-alkali production.
