Merits and achievements

    According to the results of the national ranking of educational programs for the 2019-2020 academic year, conducted by the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), the specialty 6B07220-Metallurgy of the SKU named after M.Auezov took 2nd place (undergraduate), and the specialty 7M07222-Metallurgy took 3rd place ( magistracy).

    According to the results of the "National rating of demand for universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 2020" for educational programs conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), the specialty 6B07220-Metallurgy, SKU named after M. Auezov took 4th place (undergraduate), and the specialty 7M07222-Metallurgy took 2nd place (Master's degree).

    INDEPENDENT RANKING OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF THE RK BY DIRECTIONS AND LEVELS OF SPECIALIST TRAINING 2020

    For all levels of education of the specialty "Metallurgy" of the South Kazakhstan University. M. Auezov, high results were achieved according to the results of the ranking study of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the areas and levels of training of specialists for 2020 according to the IQAA indicators:

    In 2020, to improve the positions of the educational program 6B07220-Metallurgy in the national rankings, the 2nd place was achieved in the national ranking of EP universities in Kazakhstan-2020.

    OP 7M07222 - "Metallurgy" passed specialized accreditation in the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) for compliance with the standards criteria in the spring of 2017. and received a certificate of specialized accreditation for the period from 06/19/2017 to 06/17/2022

    In 2017, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Shevko V.M. was awarded the badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

    November 25, 2020 Shevko V.M. was awarded a diploma and a gold medal by P. Kapitsa for his discovery in the field of physical chemistry "The phenomenon of accelerating the formation of iron silicides during the interaction of silicon oxide (IV) with carbon and iron." The opening was installed in the Republican State Enterprise "National Center for the Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and in NJSC "South Kazakhstan University named after M.Auezov".

    At the department "Metallurgy" and the scientific research laboratory "Perspective metallurgical technologies" SKU. M. Auezov, a complex electrothermal processing of dusts from the production of ferromanganese of the Taraz Metallurgical Plant is being developed. Ferrosilicomanganese grade MnC22 containing 20.5% silicon and 65.8% manganese was obtained. The results of the work were published in the Bulletin of the Irkutsk State Technical University (RSCI-0.495). The work took part in the International competition of scientific works of the All-Russian Society for Scientific Research, which decided to award our work with the III place with the issuance of a diploma and a certificate. Also foreign countries are interested in our work. In particular, representatives of Global Journals (USA), who proposed publication in the Global Journal of Engineering Research.
