Оn a business trip to the University of Zagreb, Croatia, from October 12 to 25, 2023 In October 2023, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology Mutalieva B.J. together with PhD, Professor of SKPU named after O.Zhanibekov Madybekova G.M. and Professor Marko Vintsekovich from the University of Zagreb, conducted scientific research at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. The research was planned under the AP19679879 project "Development of probiotic microcapsulation technology for the enrichment of functional beverages based on dairy industry waste", funded by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Scientific cooperation with the University of Zagreb has been established since 2017, and in 2018-2020, scientific research was conducted on the AP05132810 project "Scientific and practical foundations of technology for microencapsulation of biologically active substances and fundamentally new plant development stimulants in order to intensify agricultural production", together with Professor Marko Vintsekovich. Thanks to the project, the citation of the works of scientists who implemented the project has increased, as well as strong international cooperation has been established, memorandums of cooperation have been signed, and 3 doctoral students of the 8D05120-Biotechnology educational program are currently being supervised. In addition, scientists continue to work together in the form of new projects, joint supervision of doctoral students, and invitations to lectures between universities. Scientists have carried out work on the study of the processes of microcapsulation of probiotic microorganisms Bifidumbacterium on the equipment of the Encapsulator Bucci E390, with the study of the physico-chemical characteristics of microcapsules. Studies of probiotic microorganisms were carried out for further fermentation of dairy industry waste, and the possibility of their enrichment in microcapsulated form.
The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb has 6 experimental stations used for scientific, technical activities, research and practical work of teachers and students. At one of the stations, familiarization with experimental samples was carried out, as well as studies of grown plant crops in greenhouses and in the field at the station sites. Studies of the composition of crops and product quality are carried out on modern equipment of biotechnology laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb. The laboratories are equipped with an encapsulator, chromatographs, genetic analyzers, Leica Mz16 stereomicroscope, Leica Microsystems Ltd., FTIR Instrument spectrometers and others. The results of research on these devices comply with international standards, for publication in highly rated journals of the Scopus database, Web of Science and others.
Professor Marko Vintsesovich organized meetings with leading professors of the university. So, Professor Elvira Vidovich, from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, introduced laboratories where research on polymers, petroleum, composite materials, etc. is carried out. A scientific collaboration was established with Professor Elvira Vidovich to advise young scientists of the university.
Issues of joint cooperation on the exchange of students, undergraduates and doctoral students were also discussed, Professor Marko Vintsekovich organized meetings with the leadership of the international department, and a place was allocated under the Erasmus+ mobility program for one of the doctoral students of the Department of Biotechnology Turebaeva Tamila for 5 months. In addition, it was discussed that in the future, on the basis of a memorandum of cooperation, trips under the Zero program are possible, which will help young researchers to have the opportunity to use the laboratory base of the University of Zagreb for free.
A meeting was also organized with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of the University of Zagreb, on further research and cooperation between universities. Thus, the scientific trip to the University of Zagreb was carried out in accordance with the planned work.
