DRUGS, TOBACCO, ALCOHOL – WE ARE AGAINST HARMFUL HABITS
The senior mentor of the "Chemistry and FI" department at the Higher School of "Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering" of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, A.O. Seitmanbetova, together with first-year students, organized an educational and awareness-raising event on the topic "Drugs, Tobacco, Alcohol – We Are Against Harmful Habits."
Special guests were invited to the event, delivering important and engaging presentations for students. Among the speakers were therapist D.K. Yeraliyeva from City Polyclinic No. 13, psychologist A.Sh. Otegenova, urologist D.B. Babakhanov, as well as representatives from the Shymkent Police Department – Deputy Head of the Public Safety Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel K.E. Seytalimov, Police Major A.B. Boztaev, and Police Major B.K. Karbekov from the Drug Crime Prevention Department. They shared their experiences and provided comprehensive insights into the dangers of harmful habits for both individual health and society as a whole.
Additionally, the Dean of the Higher School of "Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering," M.Zh. Aytureev, and the Head of the "Chemistry and FI" Department, S.R. Yermekov, emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and encouraged students to avoid harmful habits.
This event became a crucial meeting that broadened young people's understanding of harmful habits and helped them make the right choices.
On November 25, 2024, at 14:00, in room 301A, for the group HT-24-9k8, a lecture was conducted on the topic: "Redox Reactions." The open lesson was conducted according to the curriculum and thematic plan.
On November 29, 2024, at 8:30 AM, in room 421A, for the groups HT-21-9k3 and 9k4, a lecture was conducted on the topic: "New Galenic Preparations." The open lesson was conducted according to the curriculum and thematic plan.
On November 7, 2024, at 9:35 AM, in room 418A, for the groups HT-21-9k1 and 9k2, a lecture was conducted on the topic: "Key Concepts of Pharmaceutical Technology." The open lesson was conducted according to the curriculum and thematic plan
On October 7, 2024, at 8:30 AM, in room 220 A, for the groups HT-22-9k3 and 9k4, a lecture was conducted on the topic: "Vitamins. General information about vitamins. Structure, classification, and role of vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins. Water-soluble vitamins." The open lesson was conducted according to the curriculum and thematic plan.
The "Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology" School, at the Department of "Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering," held the XXVI International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists titled "Chemical Technology, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Production in the 21st Century" in honor of the 125th anniversary of K.I. Satpaev. Our faculty's students and schoolchildren defended their scientific works and research, securing various prize places and receiving certificates of appreciation. Congratulations!
