- Hits: 8
Students of the HT-22-2k group Kudaybergen B.M., Sabitkhan I.N., Satibaldiev D.E. presented their topic "Chemical analysis under AI control" at the Hackathon-2025 "The future of blue-collar jobs in the metallurgical and oil and gas industries: attraction, integration and prestige". The hackathon was held as part of the "City of blue-collar jobs" festival initiated by the head of state. The jury included representatives of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, they assessed: production efficiency, rational use of resources, the percentage of integration and use of AI, the possibility of autonomy due to the implementation of AI and the economic indicators of the proposed work of the participants. Our students presented under the name "NeuroNet", the possibility of implementing AI in raster analysis systems of ores in conditions of non-stop ore feeding along a belt conveyor was demonstrated. The weak point of the work was the lack of a business plan, this is due to the lack of data on the cost of AI required for integration into analytical devices (SEM) and possible profit. The current trend shows that human resources as an analyzer of the ore component are much more economically profitable and more flexible than the creation of autonomous AI, the development of which requires time and funding. In our opinion, the technology will find application in extraterrestrial ore mining projects, because it is in space that human resources will cost much more than automated devices than on earth. As a result of the performance, the team was awarded certificates personally by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.
The South Kazakhstan Research University named after M. Auezov also congratulated the participants of the Hackathon and wished them to strengthen their work taking into account the shortcomings and win next year, and to implement the wish, students from the higher schools "Management and Business" and "Information Technology and Energy" will join the team.
