From 10 to 14 December 2012 in Belgorod State Technological University named after VG Shukhov (Russia) hosted a large forum cement - V International Congress of Cement manufacturer CIS and Western Europe. The initiator and organizer of the Congress was the chair of "Technologies of cement and composites" headed by the chair, professor I.N. Borisov.

The Congress was attended by representatives of management and the largest cement producers JSC "Eurocement", JSC "Holding Company" Siberian cement", LLC "Cemclub", JSC "Oskolcement", JSC MMK "Mosintrans ", LLC "Polyplast Novomoskovsk", LLC "Cement Yakutsk", representing about 40 cement plants in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
The congress discussed the broad capabilities and advantages of new technological equipment of world-famous companies producing cement kilns, mills, crushers, filters, conveyors, feeders, etc. - Thyssen Krupp Polysius AG, «Aumund», «Loesche GmbH», JSC TD "Quartz", LLC "Flismidt Rus ", etc.
Also, scientists from various universities and research institutes, in their reports to present the results of recent research. I must say that in spite of the large fuel consumption, in all CIS countries up to now to 70-80% of the cement produced in the old wet process. Therefore, most of the reports focused on enhancing the wet process, reducing the consumption of fuel and electricity for clinker burning, increase productivity furnaces and mills, integrated use of alternative fuels, mechanical activation of cement materials.
In recent years, the chair "Technologies of silicates and synthesis of minerals" M.Auezov SKSU built up a good relationship with the chair " Technologies of cement and composites " BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
Students, undergraduates, doctoral students and faculty of the chair " Technologies of silicates and synthesis of minerals " in Belgorod went to practice and training. Signed a cooperation agreement works, practical training, internships, student mobility between the rector of our university. As a result of the close cooperation of our students and teachers have a lot of useful in educational and scientific terms, books for our students to become professors and textbooks Belgorod scientists and I.G.Luginina V.K.Klassen about production of portland cement and other binders.
